Sources of inspiration : My work is deeply inspired by dreams, music and science. Dreams have always offered me glimpses into impossible worlds; intuitive and symbolic spaces that often find their way into my visual language. Music shapes the emotional rhythm of my process and helps me feel my way through a piece rather than overthink it. Science, especially the strange and beautiful edges of biology and physics, grounds my imagination in reality while expanding my sense of what is possible. These all come together to help me build immersive worlds that feel both familiar and otherworldly.

Sources of motivation : Curiosity keeps me moving. I’m drawn to what I don’t yet understand, how things work, how they feel, and why they matter. It’s the spark behind every new direction in my work.

What makes you happy : I feel happiest when I’m in inspired surroundings, especially places that spark a sense of wonder. I love solitude and finding the quiet spaces where my ideas can unfold without pressure. And getting out of my comfort zone always brings a kind of aliveness that fuels everything I do.

Favorite part of living in Chicago : Call me crazy, but I love the weather. After many years away, I missed having real seasons, and I’ve been loving the feeling of time passing through changing skies – big summer thunderstorms, fresh snow, the whole cycle. And the people here make it even better. Chicagoans are down to earth, genuine, and kind. I’m biased, but I really do think Midwesterners are the best.

Macro Articulations

What gets you in a working flow : I get into a flow when there’s a balance of inspiration, motivation and isolation. I need that spark of an idea, the drive to chase it, and enough uninterrupted space to actually follow it wherever it leads.

What are you working on now : I feel like I’m stepping into a big new chapter, and it honestly feels like anything is possible. I just wrapped up my first solo exhibition in my hometown, which was a huge milestone, and now I’m already dreaming up the next one – somewhere new, somewhere bold. I’m working on my biggest ideas yet and feeling excited as the pieces start to come together.
