Sydney Blaylock is a professional roller skater, influencer, and model who made history as part of Usher’s Super Bowl LVIII Half-Time Show with the first group of roller skaters to ever perform at the global event.

A Spelman woman, Sydney Blaylock went from basement skate sessions with her mother to dazzling over 200 million viewers at the Super Bowl halftime show with Usher. Sydney brought Chicago's legendary JB (James Brown) style and Split Culture to the global spotlight, honoring the vibrant heritage of Black roller skating.

Sydney Blaylock's roller-skating journey began at age 4, nurtured by their mother's support. At The Rink on Chicago's Southside, roller skating became a lifelong passion, fostering her creativity and commitment to the community. Sydney’s talent has graced stages nationwide, including The Tonight Show and Discoasis with Jimmy Fallon and Keke Palmer, along with campaigns for Sunglass Hut and NAIR. An influencer with nearly 100K followers on Instagram, she’s been featured in HBO’s "United Skates" documentary, BET Hip Hop Awards with Mike Epps, and has influence that transcends borders.

A skate instructor at her alma mater, Kenwood Academy High School, Sydney continues to inspire people to embrace roller skating as both an art form and cultural expression through her skate tutorials and content.
